Chasing a rare Black-necked Grebe in Teesta river
I started bird-watching since 2006 when I was in the first year of my graduation. Soon after in my Master's degree, we formed a small team of a few friends to watch birds of our surroundings.

The first and foremost equipment was a binocular, a vintage one from PENTAX, contributed by Aditi to the team. The photographic documentations were then performed by a point-and-shoot camera bought by Anirban for that purpose only.

ASAHI Pentax 10 x 50 Binocular
Since late 2014, I have started bird and wildlife photography with the Canon sx 50HS bridge camera. Still in my possession, it is a powerful high zoom camera that has gained popularity among bird-photographers those days.

Canon PowerShot SX 50HS
The Olympus 10 x 50 is an essential equipment for bird-watching. In the early 2017 I have got it as a gift on my wedding and it is so far one of the best gift I have ever had. I will recommend this budget-friendly binocular to everyone who is new to this hobby of bird-watching.

Olympus 10x50 DPS I Binocular
The first DSLR camera I have ever used is a D7000 of one of my friends. Although I now have one of these, which I usually use as my secondary camera for general purpose photography.

Nikon D7000
The first DSLR camera in my possession is a Nikon D7200, which I mainly use for wildlife photography. It is undoubtedly one of the best camera for that purpose till date and is highly recommended for bird photography.
